PaDoRe (PAperfolding DOcumentation Research)
Founded 2004 in the Frankesche Stiftungen in Halle/Saale (Germany) the Society for Documentation and Research of Folding Art is devoted to the history of folding. It has an archive of near 5000 books and documents in 26 languages (Catalan, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Latvian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Reto-Romansh, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish) covering all aspects of folding, not only paper-folding. After be based in the German cities of Freiburg im Breisgau, Leuna and Weimar, it is since 2017 based in Badalona, Catalonia, and curated by Joan Sallas.
